Mason's Top 60-Ranked Athletes/Entries in the East Region
ECAC/IC4A Championships Central
The George Mason track and field team continues postseason competition while trying to earn additional NCAA regional berths as the Patriots will take part in the 2010 ECAC/IC4A Championships this weekend at Weaver Stadium. Mason will send 20 individuals plus three relays to the men's IC4A meet, while the Patriot women will have 11 individual entries and three relays in the ECAC Championships.
The action begins on Friday with the men's decathlon at 9 a.m. and proceeds through Sunday when the awards will be handed out following the completion of the men's 4x400-meter relay at 3:05 p.m.
Mason will be looking not only to capture titles at the meet but improve their standing in the regional rankings as under the new system implemented this year, the top-48 individuals and top-24 relays will advance to the NCAA Championships Preliminary Round in two weeks at Greensboro, N.C.
