Coach E (Eric Martin) is back with George Mason women’s volleyball as an assistant coach. Coach E brings over 30+ years of playing experience and over 8 years of club coaching as a floater, assistant, and head coach. Experience and longevity around the game has allowed Coach E to continually refine his coaching style, allowing him to discover new ways to teach his players. “Through my experiences and my networks I’m always exchanging and learning new ideas, as a student and teacher of the game I enjoy sharing those ideas and giving back," said Martin.
His focus is on player development and teaching from the ground up, not top down. He focuses on process, failure, volleyball IQ , and TEAM… all while trying to have as much fun as possible. “Getting to know the players is a big part of how I coach/teach, once I understand how they learn I can get the concepts through more clearly," said Martin.
