Christy previously served as the Head Coach at Washington Adventist University (January 2024), where she handled all team logistics, scheduling, training session plans, recruitment, clinics, and financial oversight. She had previously been an Assistant Coach for the program during the 2022-2023 season.
A native of Scotch Plains, NJ, Christy has called the DMV area home since 2019 and currently lives in Bethesda, MD with her husband Andre. Christy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rutgers University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
As a collegiate athlete, Christy also coached a number of soccer programs, including TOPSoccer, U3-U4 programming, elite youth clinics, and high school soccer camps. Christy played collegiate soccer at Rutgers University Scarlet Knights from 2015 to 2017, as a defender and midfielder. She captained the team in her senior campaign and helped lead the team to an NCAA DI top-25 finish. Christy was a member of the 2015 squad that advanced to the NCAA DI College Cup, a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2016, and a Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient in 2017. Before Rutgers, she spent two seasons at the University of Louisville.
Prior to college, Christy played club soccer for the PDA Slammers, winning a 2011 US Youth Soccer Region I Champions, 2011 US Youth Soccer National Champions, and 2013 ECNL National Champions.
Christy serves on the Advisory Council for DC SCORES, a non-profit in the city that provides soccer, poetry, and service-learning programming to DC public elementary and middle school kids. She is passionate about supporting the growth of community through the game in the DMV and loves to volunteer as a referree at their seasonal events. She is a big fan of the Washington Spirit and Manchester City Men's and Women's teams. Christy spent 6 years working in Consulting and Internet Technology prior to beginning her full time coaching career in 2024.
