Childs begins her first season on the staff at George Mason after playing one season for the Patriots as a graduate student. The former forward appeared in 16 games with 15 starts before her season was cut short due to injury. She averaged 1.0 blocks per game, good for second on the squad, and her 16 total blocks were a career-best. Childs also averaged 5.5 points and 4.5 rebounds.
Before her fifth-year at George Mason, Childs was a four-year standout at Boston University. She finished her career at BU ranked fifth all-time in program history with 7.5 rebounds per game over four years. In her frist season, she was named to the Patriot League All-Rookie Team after averaging 7.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.Â
At the 2023 WBCA Convention in Dallas, Texas during the NCAA Women's Final Four, she participated in the "So You Want to Be a Coach" program after being chose by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. The WBCA's "So" program was created to provide female student-athletes with an experience that can serve as the foundation for a successful coaching career.
