2017: Limited to 47 sets of action across 16 matches in his last season as a Patriot…started 12 of them...accumulated 121 kills, second-best on the team with 2.57 kills per set. Popov was Mason’s most efficient pin hitter with a 0.312 attacking efficiency…contributed 11 service aces and four assists. On the defensive end, the Razlog, Bulgaria native had the fourth-best mark on the team with 0.96 digs per set for a total of 45…four solo blocks and 18 assists for a total of 22 blocks…finished the season with 145 points. Popov had season-high 19 kills in the road sweep over Harvard (Feb. 11), one of his five double-digit offensive performances…began the season with season-high two assists at Belmont Abbey (Jan. 6)…had season-high two service aces against King (Jan. 20) and Princeton (April 8)…had his two three-block productions against the same opponents – two solo blocks against the Tornado (Jan. 20)…season-best five digs in back-to-back matches against nationally ranked opponents Loyola Chicago (Jan. 21) and Ball State (Jan. 26).

2016: Played in 90 sets for the Patriots during an EIVA Championship season…Recorded 179 kills, including finishing five matches with double-figure kills…Had a season-high of 19 kills against Harvard (2/19)…Owned a 1.99 kills per set average…Accumulated 105 digs…Had four matches with season-high eight digs…Recorded 36 blocks including eight solo…Had three kills against Ohio State in the NCAA Tournament.

2015: Played in 99 sets for the Patriots this season.  Accumulated 264 kills along with 137 digs and 43 blocks this season.  Selected to the All-EIVA Second Team as well as the All-EIVA Academic Team.  Awarded the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week award on 4/27. Named to the All-EIVA Tournament Team.  His 264 kills in a single season ranks 21st all time.  Finished with the third most digs on the team (137).

2014: Played in 86 sets for the Patriots ... finished with a team-best 261 kills and 3.03 k/s for Mason ... awarded the EIVA Newcomer of the Year and selected to the EIVA First Team ... named to the EIVA Championship All-Tournament team ... selected as the EIVA Offensive Player of the Year two times and the EIVA Defensive Player of the Year once this season ... recorded a career-high 24 kills vs Penn State on March 1 ... also finished with the second most digs on the Patriot team (127) ... his 261 kills this season ranks 22nd all-time in George Mason history.

High School: Radi played soccer for two years and volleyball for four years at Bratya Kanazirevi in Razlog … earned MVP; tournament for young talents in 2007 … MVP for high school championship in 2008, 2010, and 2012 … best scorer for high school championship in 2009 … MVP in the Balkanstroy cup (junior championship, Razlog) in 2011 … plays for Bulgarian National team (2009-2013).
