Vahid Talebloo enters his fourth season with the George Mason men’s soccer program for the 2026 season.

In 2025, the Patriots finished with an overall record of 7-5-3 including a mark of 5-1-1 on the road, and were 4-2-2 (14 points) in Atlantic 10 Conference play.  Five players were selected to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team, with four First Team and one All-Rookie selection.  Junior Kelly Janssen and sophomore Martim Sereno were both named First Team All-Conference Forwards.  Junior James Eliuda and sophomore Martim Sereno were both selected First Team All-Conference Midfielders.  Freshman forward Jaime Godinho was tabbed as one of the 11 players on the All-Rookie Team.  Defender Javier Sánchez signed a professional contract with FK Jerv in Norway.

In 2024, Orozco helped guide the club to a 13-4-1 overall record and a 6-1-1 mark in Atlantic 10 play and claimed the A-10 regular season championship for the first time in program history.  George Mason won four straight matches to start conference play and posted six regular season victories in the A-10 for the first time since joining the league in 2013, and earned the top seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship. 

The Patriots climbed to 13th in the United Soccer Coaches Association poll in 2024, the first time in 10 years that George Mason has earned a national ranking.  George Mason finished the A-10 regular season third in goals (33) and goals per match (2.2) and tied for the third-fewest goals allowed (17). 
 
Talebloo is a former coach of theU14 Iranian National Team.  He has a U.S. Soccer B and C Coaching License license and an Asian Football Confederation (AFC) C coaching license. 
 
Active in the Northern Virginia area, Talebloo coached with the Arlington Soccer Association for four years and was the Director of Goalkeeping at the Arlington Girls Academy.
 
Talebloo, a native of Tehran, Iran, played on the international stage for the Iranian National Team at various stages, (U14, U17, U20, U23, Senior).  He represented Iran as a member of the 2006 World Cup team that played in Germany.
 
Talebloo spent 15 seasons in the Iranian Premier League (IPL) and was with Esteghlal in the AFC Championship League.
 
Nominated as the IPL’s best young player in 2003 and top overall player in 2006, Talebloo helped his clubs to a pair of championships in 2005 and 2008.  In the 2007 Hazfi Cup (Iranian Knockout Cup), he saved 8 out of 12 penalties to propel his team to a championship.  He set an IPL record of 836 straight minutes without allowing a goal.
