Marquis Webb is in his first season as the team's director of player development.

Webb arrives in Fairfax after spending the last year working as an assistant director of Team Events Hoop Group. He also served as assistant coach of the Paterson Catholic High School boys basketball team, where he also taught history from 2008-2010. There, his team won the Passaic County and City of Palms (Fla.) Classic championships.  Prior to that, Webb played professionally for one year in Hungary and New Zealand as well as a stint with the NBDL Anaheim Arsenal club. His coaching experience also extends to the AAU level, where he was part of the Playaz basketball club in 2009.

A native of Paterson, N.J., Webb was a four-year starter at Rutgers, where he scored more than 1,000 points and was named to the 2006 Defensive All-America Team.  He ranks ninth all-time among Scarlet Knights in career assists (305), 12th in career free throw percentage (.785), tied for 14th in career steals (117) and 33rd in career points (1,026).

He earned his bachelor's degree in African-American studies from Rutgers in 2007.
