Jacob Bear joined the men's basketball staff as director of creative media in August 2021.
Bear oversees all creative strategy and content for the program, specifically as it relates to social media and recruiting.
Bear comes to Mason from the University of Virginia, where he served as recruiting multimedia intern for men's basketball. While in Charlottesville, Bear also held positions as a football video assistant and recruiting intern.Â
He graduated from Liberty University in 2018 with a degree in sport management. Bear earned his master's in student affairs practice in higher education while at Virginia in 2020.
While a student at Liberty, Bear interned and worked as a marketing coordinator with the school's Athletics Fan Experience & Promotions Department. He also interned with Virginia's Athletic VIdeo Services team while working with the baseball program.
Bear won an ACC Game Changers Award in 2019-20 for his work with Virginia's Thursday's Heroes series.Â
