Hannah Stapleford joined the George Mason Sports Medicine staff in November 2020. She serves as the primary athletic trainer for the baseball program. Hannah earned her BS in Athletic Training from Longwood University in 2017 and her MS in Exercise Science and Health Promotion with a concentration of Sport Psychology in 2019.Â
Prior to coming to George Mason, Stapleford served as an intern athletic trainer within the Chicago Cubs organization with the Double-A team, the Tennessee Smokies, during the 2019 season and during Spring Training in Mesa, Arizona in 2020. Prior to the Cubs, she served as a senior intern athletic trainer at the University of Richmond for 2 years working with the baseball, women’s lacrosse, women’s soccer and field hockey programs. While at Richmond, Stapleford helped with individual movement screenings for D1 baseball athletes to help determine areas of improvement and created individualized programs to address deficiencies.Â
