FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason University men's basketball team will play a record 12 of its 18 Atlantic 10 games on national television in 2026-27, the league office announced Tuesday.
 
That's up from the then-record 10 national TV games last season, as the league continues to take notice of the Patriots' ascent up the A-10 standings during head coach Tony Skinn's tenure in Fairfax.
 
The Patriots have tallied a 22-5 (.815) A-10 home record under Skinn ('06) and will look to continue to defend NOVA this season behind the support of Mason Nation. In 2025-26, the Patriots averaged 5,214 fans during A-10 home games, the program's highest average since 2013-14.
 
The team's home schedule includes prime February rivalry games on the ESPN Family of Networks against VCU and George Washington. The Feb. 26 game against the Rams will mark the first time George Mason has appeared on the A-10 ESPN Friday Night Showcase in program history.
 
George Mason opens the league slate on December 30 at EagleBank Arena against Richmond and also faces upstart Fordham (Jan. 6) and St. Bonaventure (Jan. 13) during its early home schedule.
 
The Patriots suit up for two road games on USA against Rhode Island (Jan. 2) and Saint Joseph's (Jan. 9), before playing their annual Martin Luther King Jr. game against GW on Jan. 18 in Foggy Bottom. That game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.
 
George Mason students return to Fairfax for a Saturday contest against Loyola Chicago on Jan. 23 (USA Network). Then, the Patriots head south on I95 for the first of two games against VCU. The Jan. 27 game in the Siegel Center will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.
 
The Patriots' Jan. 30 home game vs. Saint Joseph's will be televised on USA, followed by a road game at St. Bonaventure on Feb. 3.
 
George Mason hosts the rivalry return game with GW on Feb. 6 on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. Then, GMU will play at Davidson on USA Network Feb. 13.
 
After a Feb. 17 home game vs. La Salle, the Patriots play back-to-back nationally televised road games at Duquesne on Feb. 20 (USA) and at Dayton on Feb. 23 (CBSSN).
 
Following the primetime Feb. 26 Friday night game vs. VCU (ESPN/2/U), the Patriots host Rhode Island for Senior Night on March 3, before wrapping up the regular season at 2026 A-10 champion Saint Louis on March 6 (USA Network).
 
The 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship will be held March 10-14 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
