PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — George Mason (4-2-3, 0-0-1) played Saint Joseph's (4-2-3, 0-0-1) to a 1-1 tie Saturday night at Sweeney Field. The Patriots scored in the first half before Saint Joseph's recorded its goal in the second. The match marks both teams' first Atlantic 10 contest this season.

Freshman Keira Jeffries gave the Patriots the first-half breakthrough at 24:57, scoring to put the Green & Gold ahead 1-0. Earlier, the Patriots kept Saint Joseph's off the board through three corner kicks and two off-target shots. Mia Arevalo-Delcid had a penalty kick saved by Lauren Lebo at 30:24, and the Green & Gold took the 1-0 lead into halftime.

Saint Joseph's erased the Patriots' lead in the second half when Juliette Muro scored off Valentina Nardone's assist at 76:05, tying the match at 1-1. Earlier, the Green & Gold pressed for another goal with four shots and a corner from 50:12 to 55:24, including Carly Passaro's saved attempt, Mia Casciani's shot off the left woodwork and Kylie Beauregard's saved shot. The teams played through a card-heavy closing stretch, and the match finished 1-1.

Jeffries scored an unassisted goal on her only shot and put the attempt on goal. Arevalo-Delcid shared the team lead with two shots, including one on frame. Beauregard added two shots off the bench and also placed one on goal.
