PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Senior midfielder James Eliuda netted his second goal of the season in the first half and senior midfielder Javier Montava Ortega converted a penalty kick in the second half in the Patriots 2-2 draw in at Saint Joseph's on Saturday afternoon.

Saint Joseph's (3-0-4, 0-0-1 A10) took the lead over George Mason (1-3-2, 0-1-1 A10) just past the midway point of the first half.  In the 29th minute, the Hawks scored on a Patriots own goal to make it 1-0.

In the 34th minute, George Mason Eliuda scored the equalizer with his second goal of the season from the center of the penalty area to make the score 1-1.  Fifth-year midfielder Matias de Jesus and sophomore forward Jaime Godinho each picked up their second assist of the year on the play.

Saint Joseph's regained the lead early in the second half.  Hawks freshman defender Declan Sullivan was fouled in the penalty area by Patriots senior defender David Garcia while both players were trying to head the ball.  After video relay, Saint Joseph's was awarded a penalty kick, and senior forward Jake Ross converted his first career penalty kick to make it 2-1.

In the 71st minute, Saint Joseph's was called for a handball inside the penalty area.  Montava stepped to the spot and converted the equalizer for his first goal of the season to even the score 2-2.

Fifth-year defender Pablo Rivero Toribio, junior defender Riccardo Beretta, sophomore defender Cristian Ramos, senior midfielder Gabin Thomelier, Eliuda, Garcia and Montava each played all 90 minutes.

Saint Joseph's is tied for the sixth-longest unbeaten streak in the nation.
