HOW THEY SCORED
George Mason
15' | The Patriots built their attack from the back following a goal kick from
Libby Davy.
Madyson Taylor played a volley forward to
Isabella Yousefi, who made a run down the left flank before sending the ball ahead to
Mia Casciani.
Casciani drove centrally toward goal and battled one-on-one with a Penn defender. Despite being challenged and going to ground, Casciani kept the play alive, eventually getting a touch on the ball that struck the hand of Penn's Casey Forman.
Senior
Molly Starner stepped up to the spot and calmly converted, firing a strong strike to the left as the Penn goalkeeper moved the opposite direction. The penalty marked Starner's second career attempt and conversion, with her first coming just last game against James Madison.
With the goal, Starner now sits tied for the team lead with two goals and five points.
