FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason University men's basketball head coach Tony Skinn ('06) has announced that Lilian Marville will join the Patriot roster in 2026-27.

The 6-foot-1-inch guard blistered the nets during his freshman season at UNCG while leading the nation in 3pt FG percentage.

"Lilian showed an elite shooting ability as a freshman. He was efficient as they get across the country," Skinn said. "He gives us another skilled player who can play multiple positions, whether it's point guard or off the ball. He understands the difference between being an efficient shooter versus a volume shooter. I think with better players around him and more developmental opportunities and resources at his disposal, he'll be able to take the next step in his career."

Marville shot a sizzling 52.2 percentage from beyond the arc while starting 21 of his 31 games on the year. He made 48 triples and hit multiple 3-pointers in 12 games. Marville's impressive clip ranked first nationally on KenPom amongst players with at least two attempts per game.

The Orleans, France, product averaged 9.5 points and dished out 2.3 assists per contest, good for third on the team. He scored at least 10 points on 13 occasions and hit the 20-point mark in three games during an outstanding freshman campaign.

Marville ranked in the top-20 in the Southern Conference in fewest fouls committed/40 minutes (2.1, 12th), effective field goal percentage (.569, 14th), assist rate (16.1, 16th) and true shooting percentage (.578, 19th).

Prior to his collegiate career, Marville suited up in the U21 French League (Elite 2) and also garnered League MVP accolades in Espoirs Pro B after leading Orleans to the league title. While competing for the French U-20 National Team, Marville also helped lead his team to a bronze medal at the FIBA Eurobasket Championship in Greece.

Marville joins Baraka Okojie (Brampton, Ontario/Mercer), Emmett Adair (Sydney, Australia/Loyola (Md.)) and  Efeosa Oliogu-Elabor (Markham, Ontario/Butler) in George Mason's talented transfer class. They will suit up alongside a group of Patriot returners which includes 2025-26 Preseason All-A-10 First Team selection Brayden O'Connor, Emmanuel Kanga, Malik Presley and Ryan-Preston Mendy.
