FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason women's soccer freshman midfielder Amy Angel has earned a call-up to the El Salvador Women's National Team, as the squad prepares to compete in the Concacaf Women's World Cup Qualifiers.

Angel has been invited to attend El Salvador's national team training camp beginning on April 4 and will be part of the delegation competing in the Concacaf W Qualifiers, where teams will vie for a place in the 2026 Concacaf W Championship.

The Concacaf W Qualifiers feature 29 nations divided into six groups, competing in a single-leg round-robin format across international windows in November–December 2025, February–March 2026, and April 2026. The April Qualifiers run from April 9–18, with El Salvador set to face Trinidad and Tobago on April 17 at 6 p.m.

The six group winners will advance to the 2026 Concacaf W Championship, scheduled for November 2026. From there, the four quarterfinal winners will secure automatic qualification to the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The freshman transfer joined the Patriots in the Spring 2026 after beginning her collegiate career at Dayton. The Manassas, Va., native played with the Virginia Development Academy (VDA) and has prior international experience, representing El Salvador at the 2025 Concacaf Women's U-20 Championship.
