FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason Men's Volleyball sophomore
Alexander Lillie was named the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Offensive Player of the Week,
the league announced Monday afternoon. This is the middle blocker's first weekly conference award of the season and his fourth overall of his career, with this being his first Offensive Player of the Week nod.
Lillie has been a sustained presence for George Mason this season, including this past weekend as the Patriots split their North Carolina road trip with a
gritty win over Queens (N.C.) and a
tough loss to Belmont Abbey.
The Ronkonkoma, New York, product led the team with a .619 hitting percentage, recording a service ace and having the second-most kills on the weekend with 15. He also played all seven sets and led the team in blocks per set (0.71) and total blocks (5), which included four block assists and a solo in the third set against Belmont Abbey.
Lillie currently leads the Patriots in blocks per set (1.06), total blocks (54.0) and solo blocks (11). He is second in the EIVA at 1.06 blocks per set and is hitting .412.

George Mason will return home to the Recreation Athletics Complex (RAC) this week for two games. On Friday, March 13, the Patriots will play Barton College at 6 p.m. After a rest day the following Saturday, the Patriots will face FDU on Sunday at 2 p.m. to conclude their home-and-home season series with the Knights.
