PITTSBURGH – George Mason University men's basketball student-athletes
Riley Allenspach and
Kory Mincy have been named to the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team, the league office announced Wednesday.
It's the first time either of the student-athletes has garnered an all-conference award in their careers.
Previous All-A-10 Second Team picks at George Mason include Marquise Moore (2017), Otis Livingston II (2018) and Keyshawn Hall (2024).
Mincy dazzled as one of the best pure scorers in George Mason's A-10 history. A two-time Atlantic 10 Player of the Week selection this season, he ranked 10
th in the league in scoring (14.3 ppg) and assists (94). He also was third in the A-10 and 23
rd nationally in free throw percentage (.892). The 2025 Sunshine Slam Most Valuable Player scored 10+ points in 22 games during the regular season and led the team in both 3pt FG made (62) and 3pt percentage (.399). He scored at least 20 points in a team-high seven games on the year.
Allenspach proved to one of the most formidable big men in the league this season while providing the Patriots with an exceptional scoring presence in the post. In conference play, Allenspach ranked 12th in A-10 and first on team in scoring (14.9 ppg). On the year, he was second in the A-10 and 31st nationally in FG percentage (.580). He also placed ninth in the A-10 in rebounds/game (6.0) and 11th in defensive rebounds/game (4.1). He led the Patriots with three double-doubles and shot a team-best 39.4 percent from 3pt range in league play. He tallied 10+ points in 22 games this season.
The Patriots open play in the Atlantic 10 Championship on Thursday afternoon with a 2 p.m. second round contest. The Green & Gold will play either No. 12 La Salle or No. 13 St. Bonaventure on USA Network.
