FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's basketball team (20-3, 8-2) will battle Saint Joseph's (15-8, 7-3) on Homecoming Saturday in Fairfax.
Tip-off between the Patriots and Hawks is set for 4 p.m. Saturday's game will be televised regionally on MASN and streamed nationally on ESPN+, featuring commentary from Voice of the Patriots Bill Rohland and former Georgetown head coach Craig Esherick. In addition,
Steve Kolbe will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with streaming coverage beginning at 3:45 p.m.
PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots are 20-3 for the first time in school history and started A-10 play 6-0 for the first time in program annals. GMU also is one of just 18 programs nationally to have 20+ wins.
• Since the start of the 2024-25 season, George Mason leads the A-10 and ranks t-12th nationally in total wins (47).
• George Mason is 25-5 (.833) in its last 30 A-10 games dating back to the 2023-24 campaign.
• Last time out, the Patriots led 70-62 with 7:12 to go, but Duquesne scored 19 of the final 24 points to take the win on Wednesday inside EagleBank Arena.

Riley Allenspach led the Patriots with team highs in points (18) and rebounds (7) and made 8-of-12 field goal attempts. The Charlotte product ranks second in the A-10 and 40th nationally in field goal percentage (.581).

Jahari Long added 17 points and has now reached double figures in four-straight games and six of the last seven. He also dished out three assists to one turnover. In league play, he ranks second in the A-10 in A/TO ratio (3.1).
• The Patriots are the fastest George Mason team ever to win 20 games (in 22 chances). The previous record of 25 games was set in 2024-25, 2010-11, 2005-06 and 1983-84.
• GMU ranks 35th nationally in field goal percentage (.488) and features a top-100 KenPom offense (86th, 1.143 points/possession) for the first time since 2010-11.
• George Mason is 14-1 at home this season and 46-6 (.885) at EagleBank Arena under head coach
Tony Skinn ('06). Wednesday's loss snapped a 14-game home win streak for the Patriots in A-10 games.
• The Patriots committed an A-10 season-high 17 turnovers on Wednesday. GMU averages 10.3 turnovers in wins and 14.0 in losses this season.
• GMU is the only program in the A-10 to have two players ranked in the top-10 in both assists/game and A/TO ratio (J. Long, K. Mincy).
• Skinn, the 2025 A-10 Coach of the Year, sports an overall win percentage of .739 (67-24) and is at 69.6 percent (32-14) in A-10 games over his first three seasons.
• The Patriots enter Wednesday's game ranked 76th in the NET. GMU also is No. 80 in KenPom.
HISTORY vs. SAINT JOSEPH'S
Saturday's matchup marks the 21st all-time meeting between George Mason and Saint Joseph's. Mason leads the series, 12-8, and is 5-3 against the Hawks in Fairfax. GM won 10 of 11 matchups from 2017-22, but the Hawks hold a 3-2 edge in the last five meetings. Last season, the Patriots won both matchups, including a 58-57 win in Fairfax on Feb. 15 and a 74-64 victory in the A-10 Semifinals on March 15 in Capital One Arena.
A LOOK AT THE HAWKS (15-8, 7-3 A-10; NET #152, KenPom #147)
Saint Joseph's was picked to finish seventh out of 14 teams in the A-10 preseason poll. The Hawks went 8-5 in non-conference play, before starting A-10 action 0-2. The Hawks have since won seven of their past eight league contests and rank fifth in the A-10 in defensive efficiency (1.058 points/possession allowed) in conference games. The team is 80th nationally in overall defensive efficiency. Jaiden Glover-Toscano ranks eighth in the league in scoring (15.9 ppg) and is second in 3pt FG made/game (2.81). Derek Simpson (13.2 ppg, 16.3 ppg in A-10) and Dasear Haskins (11.3 ppg) also average double figures. Justice Ajogbor leads the A-10 and is 13th nationally with 2.39 blocks/game.
