George Mason's 2026 Homecoming is officially here!
 
Festivities kick off Saturday with the annual Homecoming Tailgate from 12-3 p.m. in Lot L. Then, the 20-3 Patriots take the court at 4 p.m. vs. Saint Joseph's for the annual Homecoming Game inside EagleBank Arena.
 
George Mason University has announced a modified tailgate experience on Saturday. The tailgate will remain open for fans to enjoy. Due to the high winds forecasted, tents and grills will not be allowed, per campus safety guidelines.
 
In addition, the Homecoming Festival will move inside to EagleBank Arena. George Mason students can enter the arena at the North Entrance beginning at 12 p.m. to enjoy games, food, a DJ and more. Students are welcome to remain in the building until the game tips at 4 p.m.

In addition, the George Mason Alumni Association tailgate will be moved to the EagleBank Arena South Entrance from 12-3 p.m.
 
The Gold and Green Rooms will operate as normal, beginning at 3 p.m.
 
The arena bowl will open to fans at the normal time of 3 p.m., as well.
 
Free Homecoming Patch Station
The George Mason University Bookstore is partnering with Lids U to offer complimentary patches which can be heat pressed on to hats on Saturday!
 
Simply purchase a hat at the merchandise station near Portal 17 or bring a receipt with your hat purchased at the on-campus GMU Bookstore in the last seven days. Your free patch will be waiting at the patch bar located inside the arena on the South Concourse.

Take to social media to share your own homecoming celebration using the hashtag #MasonHomecoming26! Your photos from the tailgate and the game could be featured on the EagleBank Arena videoboard.
 
Homecoming Game Timeline
11:00 a.m. – Lot L Vehicle Entry Opens (must have tailgate pass)
12:00 p.m. – Lot L Vehicle Entry Closes (Po River Lane Closes)
12:00 p.m. - Pedestrian Tailgate/Homecoming Festival Access Opens
3:00 p.m. – EagleBank Arena Doors Open
4:00 p.m. – Men's Basketball vs. Saint Joseph's Tip
4:30 p.m. – Lot L Re-Opens for Vehicles
 
Vehicle Entry
• Entry window: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Each vehicle must have a tailgate pass ticket. You will be directed to your color coded/numbered reserved section on your ticket
• Screenshots will NOT be accepted
• Generators will be provided with access to electricity. Tailgates are to bring their own extension cords if needed
• Once parked, vehicles cannot exit until after 4:30 p.m.
• Vehicles entering the tailgate are subject to search. By participation you are consenting to vehicle search
 
Pedestrian Access
• Pedestrians may enter starting at 12:00 p.m.
• This will be strictly enforced for safety
• Weapons Detection Systems will be in use for this event
• ID's will be checked upon entry and wrist banded for 21 and over
 
Patriot Club/Media Parking
• Due to Homecoming Tailgate in Lot L, Patriot Club/Media Parking will now be in Lot A (see attached map with directional arrows)
 
Arena Entry
• EagleBank Arena doors for the general public will open at 3:00 p.m.
