FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's basketball team (21-6, 9-5) battles Saint Joseph's (17-10, 9-5) Wednesday for a snowy showdown in Philadelphia.

PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots are in a tie for third place in the A-10 with the Hawks and Dayton. Two of those three teams are likely to earn  double bye in next month's A-10 Championship in Pittsburgh.

• Since the start of the 2024-25 season, George Mason ranks second in  the A-10 and ranks t-22nd nationally in total wins (48). This season, GMU is one of just 40 programs nationally to have 21+ wins.

• Despite losing four of the last five games, George Mason still is an impressive 26-8 (.765) in its last 34 A-10 games dating back to the 2023-24 campaign.

• Last time out, the Patriots fell behind Dayton 33-26 at the half and eventually dropped a 82-67 contest on Wednesday. The Flyers made 11 3-pointers and shot 55.8 percent overall.

Jahari Long led George Mason with 17 points and tied a career high with four triples on just six attempts. He's notched 10+ points in seven of the Patriots' last eight games and is averaging a team-best 14.6 points/contest (.440 3pt FG) over the past five games.

Fatt Hill added 15 points and two assists vs. Dayton in his second-straight start, while Riley Allenspach notched 12 points (3-6 FG) and five rebounds.

• During George Mason's recent 1-4 stretch, the Patriot defense has fallen from second to seventh in the A-10 in league games. GMU foes are averaging 71.8 points and shooting 45 percent (.361 3pt), which are significantly higher than the Patriots' stalwart numbers for much of the season.

• The Patriots made 18 free throws vs. Dayton, a welcome return to the stripe for the Green & Gold. GMU is 41st nationally in FT made/game (17.8) but made just 10.4/contest in the five games prior to Wednesday.

• George Mason is a perfect 14-0 when winning the turnover battle in 2025-26.

• Head coach Tony Skinn ('06), the 2025 A-10 Coach of the Year, sports an overall win percentage of .716 (68-27) and is at 66.0 percent (33-17) in A-10 games over his first three seasons.

• The Patriots are the fastest George Mason team ever to win 20 games (in 22 chances). The previous record of 25 games was set in 2024-25, 2010-11, 2005-06 and 1983-84.

HISTORY vs. SAINT JOSEPH'S
