HAMPTON, Va. – The George Mason men's and women's swimming and diving teams concluded the Atlantic 10 Championships at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.
The Patriots' men's team placed second (585.66 points) and the women's team finished eighth (211 points).
On the men's side, George Washington won the A-10 title (784.83), George Mason was second (585.66) and St. Bonaventure third (506.50). La Salle was fourth (437) followed by Davidson (420), Saint Louis (325) and Fordham (286).
On the women's side, Richmond won the A-10 championship (600), with George Washington second (572.50) and Duquesne third (516.50). La Salle was fourth (477) followed by Fordham (371), St. Bonaventure (358), Rhode Island (234), George Mason (211), Davidson (169) and Saint Louis (142).
Junior
Ian Rodgers won the silver medal in the Championship Final of the 200-yard backstroke (1:43.53) for the second straight year. In the consolation final, senior
Jett Lee placed sixth (1:49.31).
Junior
Tate Anderson, who won bronze in the event in 2025, claimed the silver medal in the Championship Final in the 100-yard freestyle (42.79), with sophomore
Gabriel Miller fifth (44.02) and graduate student
Agustin Rasche seventh (44.40). In the consolation final, freshman
Robert Dykman was first (44.34) and junior
Cody Scifres finished eighth (45.33).
Junior
Alex Crown just missed the podium with a fourth-place finish in the Championship Final of the 1650-yard freestyle (15:22.97).
In the Championship Final of the 200-yard backstroke, sophomore
Ryan Serbia placed fifth (2:00.19) and senior
Jack Chapman eighth (2:01.43).
Senior
Aoun Al-Hiari finished seventh in the Championship Final of the 200-yard butterfly (1:46.17). In the consolation final of the event, freshman
Brendan Lao touched the wall fourth (1:50.39), senior
Michael Bock was sixth (1:50.58) and junior
Colin Murtaugh finished seventh (1:50.60).
The Patriots won the silver medal in the 400-yard freestyle relay for the second straight year, with the team of Anderson, Rodgers, Rasche and Miller posting a time of 2:53.98.
On the women's side, junior
Kristen Ivey placed 11th in the 1650-yard freestyle (17:15.31).
In the consolation final of the 200-yard backstroke, freshman
Lucy Daniel was third (2:02.10), sophomore
Greta Mott fifth (2:02.78) and freshman
Sidney Kaufman eighth (2:04.31).
Junior
Hannah Magdeburg finished sixth in the consolation final of the 100-yard freestyle (51.13).
In the consolation final of the 200-yard breaststroke, Ivey touched the wall first (2:17.27) and senior
Ainsley Toews placed third (2:17.49).
The Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships are the final team competition of the 2025-26 season.
