HAMPTON, Va. – George Mason senior
Tate Anderson won the Atlantic 10 title in the 200 IM on the second day of competition at the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championships on Thursday at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.
Anderson claimed the gold medal with a time of 1:44.78 in the Championship Final, and has earned a spot on the podium in the 200 IM all four years with the Patriots. Anderson won silver in both 2024 and 2025, and bronze in 2023 his freshman year.
In the consolation final of the event, sophomore
Ryan Serbia placed seventh (1:49.86).
Junior
Alex Crown just missed the podium with a fourth-place finish in the Championship Final of the 500-yard freestyle (4:23.48). In the consolation final of the event, junior
Cody Scifres was fifth (4:34.22).
In the Championship Final of the 50-yard freestyle, junior
Ian Rodgers was fifth (19.98) and senior
Aoun Al-Hiari finished seventh (20.28). In the consolation final, sophomore
Gabriel Miller touched the wall first (20.08).
The Patriots won the bronze in the 200-yard freestyle relay with the team of Anderson, Rodgers, Al-Hiari and Miller posting a time of 1:18.51.
On the women's side, senior
Angelina Zeidan placed fourth (2:04.15) and junior
Casey Tingen was seventh (2:05.37) in the consolation final of the 200-yard IM.
In the consolation final of the 50-yard freestyle, senior
Peyton Brehmer finished fifth (23.23) and junior
Hannah Magdeburg placed eighth (23.68). Freshman
Alexis Brazier was seventh in the consolation final of the 500-yard freestyle (5:01.97).
On the men's side, George Washington has the lead with 270 points, with George Mason second (199) and St. Bonaventure third (186). La Salle is fourth (175), followed by Davidson (161), Fordham (139) and Saint Louis (108).
On the women's side, Richmond has the lead (242) with George Washington second (214) and Duquesne third (189). La Salle is fourth (174), followed by Fordham (168), St. Bonaventure (129), Davidson (87), George Mason (84), Rhode Island (83) and Saint Louis (54).
The Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships continue on Friday, with the preliminaries scheduled for 10 a.m. and the finals at 6 p.m.
