EUGENE, Ore. - The George Mason baseball team (0-1) dropped its season opener at Oregon, 6-2, on Friday afternoon at PK Park in Eugene, Ore.
Oregon (1-0) plated a run in the first on a bases loaded walk and added four more in the second inning against Patriots (0-1) redshirt-junior starter
Owen Stewart to take a 5-0 lead. Ducks senior designated hitter Dominic Hellman provided the big hit in the second inning with a three-run home run.
In the home half of the fifth, Oregon added a run with a leadoff double and took advantage of an error to make the score 6-0.
