FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's basketball team (21-4, 9-3) wraps up its two-game road swing Friday night with a contest at DMV rival George Washington (14-11, 5-7).

Tip-off between the Patriots and Revolutionaries is set for 7 p.m. Friday's game will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network, featuring commentary from John Sadak and Roy Hibbert. In addition, Voice of the Patriots Bill Rohland will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with streaming coverage beginning at 6:45 p.m.

PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots are 21-4 for the first time in school history and started A-10 play 6-0 for the first time in program annals. GMU also is one of just 18 programs nationally to have 21+ wins.

• Since the start of the 2024-25 season, George Mason leads the A-10 and ranks t-11th nationally in total wins (48).

• George Mason is 26-6 (.813) in its last 32 A-10 games dating back to the 2023-24 campaign.

• The Patriots hold a 2.5-game lead for a top-4 spot in the A-10 as the Green & Gold strive for a coveted double bye in next month's Atlantic 10 Championship in Pittsburgh.

• Last time out, the Patriots fell behind by 25 points in the first half en route to a 82-70 loss at Richmond Tuesday. The Spiders hit 12 triples and held a +24 edge in points beyond the arc.

Fatt Hill led the Patriots with a season-high 23 points (8-11 FG, 2-4 3pt, 5-6 FT) and grabbed eight rebounds Tuesday. Hill (11.4 ppg) ranks third in the A-10 in scoring amongst league reserves, trailing only Terrence Hill Jr. (VCU) and Roberts Blums (Davidson).

Riley Allenspach added 16 points and a career-best three steals. The Charlotte product ranks second in the A-10 and 44th nationally in field goal percentage (.575).

• Free throw and 3-point rate have played a factor in George Mason's four losses this season. Opponents outscore the Patriots by an average of 5.3 points from beyond the arc in wins, but that balloons to a nine point average deficit in losses. At the line, GMU makes an average of 8.0 more free throws than their opponent in wins, but are -1.5 free throw makes/game in losses.

• The Green & Gold rank fifth in the nation in FT rate (.465) and make 18.3 free throws/game (31st in the country).

• Despite Richmond's 82-point outburst Tuesday, GMU is allowing just 1.047 points/possession in conference games (2nd in A-10).

• The Patriots are the fastest George Mason team ever to win 20 games (in 22 chances). The previous record of 25 games was set in 2024-25, 2010-11, 2005-06 and 1983-84.

• The Patriots committed 14 turnovers in Tuesday's loss. GMU averages 10.2 turnovers in wins and 14.0 in losses this season.

• The Patriots enter Friday's game ranked 84th in the NET. GMU also is No. 85 in KenPom.
