George Mason wrestler DJ McGee led the Patriots today at the David Lehman Open with a second-place finish at 157 pounds. The tournament featured 434 competitors from more than 30 teams competing at the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center on the Franklin & Marshall campus.

Top-seeded McGee (157) won five straight matches, including three with bonus points, before earning a spot in the championship.  In the title match, McGee battled second-seeded Kai Owen but dropped the match by fall. The junior improved to 14-2 on the season.

Jack Kelly finished with a 3-2 at 197 pounds, while four GMU wrestlers finished with a 2-2 records; JB Dragovich, Anthony Basile, Tate Hisey, and Thomas Stofka.

The Green and Gold will next travel to Bloomsburg, Pa. for a MAC match against the Huskies, Friday, January 16 at 6 pm.
