This win marks a landmark achievement, as the Patriots are undefeated in conference play at 9-0 for the first time. The Patriots set the pace early and never looked back, tallying 11 steals that translated into 17 points off turnovers.
George Mason came out swinging in the first quarter, using their prowess on the defensive glass to grab early momentum. A key moment unfolded at 5:18 when
Mary Amoateng sank a 3-pointer, courtesy of an assist from
Jada Brown, drawing the Green & Gold closer to Davidson.
Zahirah Walton then added a layup, nudging the Patriots into the lead.
Building on this drive, the Patriots stretched their lead with a fast-break 3-pointer by
Jada Brown at 2:18. Despite a late push from the Wildcats, George Mason stayed in control, closing the quarter ahead, 17–13.
The second quarter saw George Mason firmly in command, sparked by
Kennedy Harris's jumper, assisted by Walton at 9:21, setting the stage for a robust scoring burst. Harris continued her hot hand with a 3-pointer, assisted by Brown at 8:27, triggering an 8-0 run and widening the gap. Though Davidson briefly responded, but the Patriots kept their foot on the gas with another 3-pointer from Harris at 2:22, assisted by
MJ Johnson. The quarter ended with George Mason outscoring Davidson 18-14, leading 35-27 at the half.
The Patriots surged further ahead in the third quarter, showcasing both defensive tenacity and offensive flair. Walton delivered early with a jumper and two free throws, extending the lead.

In the final quarter, the Patriots cemented their lead with a pivotal play at the 7:02 mark when

Though the Wildcats tried to rally, George Mason's sturdy defense and strategic timeouts kept the game in their grip.
