FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's basketball team (18-2, 6-1) returns to Fairfax for a Wednesday night contest against Davidson (12-7, 4-3).
Tip-off between the Patriots and Wildcats is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday's game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network, featuring commentary from John Sadak and Roy Hibbert. In addition, Voice of the Patriots Bill Rohland will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with streaming coverage beginning at 6:45 p.m.
PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots are 18-2 for the first time in school history and started A-10 play 6-0 for the first time in program annals. GMU is one of just 16 programs nationally to have 18 or more wins.
• Since the start of the 2024-25 season, George Mason leads the A-10 and ranks t-9th nationally in total wins (45).
• George Mason is 23-4 (.852) in its last 27 A-10 games dating back to the 2023-24 campaign. That's the best stretch by an A-10 school in league contests since Dayton went 26-3 from 2019-21.
• The Patriots saw their nine-game win streak come to an end in a 74-65 loss at Rhode Island Saturday. The Patriots led 33-32 at the break, but the Rams shot 57.9 percent in the second half and took 24 second stanza free throws to secure the win.

Kory Mincy led the Patriots with team highs in points (19) and rebounds (6) while making 4-of-8 attempts from 3pt range. He is third in the A-10 in scoring (16.6 ppg) and sixth in 3pt FG made per game (2.35).

Riley Allenspach has scored at least 16 points in five of seven A-10 games and leads the Green & Gold with 15.1 points/contest in league play. In overall games, he is ninth in the A-10 in rebounds/game (6.0).
• The Green & Gold rank second nationally in FT rate (.495) and make 19.9 free throws/game (10th in the country). On the other end of the floor, the Patriots commit just 15.6 fouls per contest (41st-best nationally). GMU tied a season high with 22 fouls committed in the loss to Rhode Island.
• The Patriots have averaged 79.2 points and shot 49.7 percent in their 18 wins this season. The team has averaged 63.5 points and shot 42.2 percent in its two losses.
• George Mason is the only program in the A-10 to have two players ranked in the top-10 in both assists/game and assist/turnover ratio (
Jahari Long,
Kory Mincy). Long's A/TO ratio of 3.0 in league games ranks second in the Atlantic 10.
• George Mason is 13-0 at home this season and 45-5 (.900) at EagleBank Arena under head coach
Tony Skinn ('06). The Patriots have won 13 straight A-10 home games, dating back to 2023-24.
• The Patriots lead the A-10 and are 39th nationally in turnovers/game (10.1). From Dec. 21-Jan. 13, George Mason committed less than 10 in a school-record seven-straight games.
• The Patriots enter Wednesday's game ranked 70th in the NET. GMU also is No. 78 in KenPom.
HISTORY vs. DAVIDSON
Wednesday's matchup marks the 15th all-time meeting between Mason and Davidson. The Wildcats hold an 8-6 advantage in the series, although GMU has won the last four matchups. The teams have split six all time meetings in Fairfax. Last season, George Mason swept the two game series, with a 69-57 home win on Dec. 31 and 64-60 triumph at Davidson on Feb. 1
A LOOK AT THE WILDCATS (12-7, 4-3 A-10; NET #124, KenPom #132)
Davidson was picked to finish 11th out of 14 teams in the A-10 preseason poll. The Wildcats went 8-5 in non-conference play, highlighted by victories over Washington State (85-69) and Boston College (59-49). Davidson is 4-3 to begin A-10 action. The Wildcats rank 51st nationally in 3pt FG percentage (.365) and score 34.00 bench points/contest (18th nationally). Roberts Blums leads the team in scoring (11.0 ppg) and shoots 39.8 percent from 3pt range, while Josh Scovens adds 10.2 points per contest.
