ANNAPOLIS, Md. – George Mason women's volleyball pushed Air Force to five sets but came up just short, falling 3-2 (14-25, 25-21, 25-19, 16-25, 12-15) on Sunday afternoon at Wesley A. Brown Field House. With the result, the Patriots moved to 3-3 on the season.
After dropping the opening set, George Mason stormed back to take sets two and three, hitting .400 in the third. Air Force answered with a dominant fourth frame and edged out the Patriots 15-12 in the decisive fifth.
The Patriots totaled 52 kills, 70 digs, and 7 service aces over the five sets.
Redshirt sophomore Meredith Brown and freshman Kiera Hamilton were named to the Kristen Dickmann Invite All Tournament team. Other honorees included Air Force's Alysa Walker, Grace Fiaseu, and Mia Lloyd, Wake Forest's Olivia Murphy and Emma Farrell, and Navy's Ava Toppin.

- Meredith Brown turned in one of her best performances of the season, posting 10 kills on .444 hitting while adding five blocks for 12.5 points
- Kiera Hamilton tallied a team-high 15 kills to go with nine digs and two aces, finishing with 18 points
- Nia Thompson contributed 14 kills, 14 digs, and 16 points.
- Chelsea Colter was a force at the net with six kills and six blocks
- Ava Cheney dished out 26 assists with three blocks
- Autumn Martinez-Robinson paced the back line with a match-high 19 digs
