FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason junior Ella Semple has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Performer of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Semple earned the honor following a standout performance at the Spider Alumni Open on Saturday in Richmond, Va. She completed the 4K race in 13:36.4, pacing the Patriots against a competitive regional field that included Virginia, William & Mary, and Richmond.

The recognition marks Semple's first weekly award of the 2025 season as she looks to build on a strong 2024 campaign. Her finish helped set the tone for Mason's women's squad in their season opener.
