FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason junior midfielder
Brent Fields scored the game winner in the 90th minute of play to lift the Patriots to a 3-2 victory over Bucknell on Tuesday night at George Mason Stadium.
With under a minute to play, junior midfielder
James Eliuda put a shot on goal that was stopped by the Bucknell goalkeeper. The rebound went to Fields, who netted his first goal as a Patriot from just outside the six-yard box.

Sergio Gonzalez Fernandez started the play with a touch pass from the middle of the field to the left side to sophomore midfielder
Martim Sereno, who eluded a defender and ripped a shot into the back of the net for his third goal of the season to put the Patriots in front, 1-0.
Gonzalez Fernandez picked up his third assist of the season.
The Bison appeared to take the lead two minute earlier in the 27th minute when sophomore forward Drew Roskos found the back of the net from 17 yards out, but the goal was disallowed when the play was ruled offside.
The Patriots increased the lead early in the second half. Gonzalez Fernandez gained possession of the ball and sent a touch to senior midfielder
Mouhamed Tucker, who lifted a perfect pass 30 pass in the air ahead to graduate student forward
Jacobo Sanfeliu. From the top of the penalty area, Sanfeliu played a low shot past the challenging Bison goalkeeper for his second goal of the season to make the score 2-0.
Gonzalez Fernandez notched his second assist of the match while Tucker earned his second assist of the season on the play.
In the 67th minute, Bucknell cut the lead in half when senior forward Zane Domsohn split a pair of defenders and scored his second goal of the season to make it a 2-1 game.
The Bison scored the equalizer off a free kick in the 76th minute. After Bison junior midfielder David Krumov played the ball to junior defender Jack Lucas, he scored from 25 yards out to even the score, 2-2.
