FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason women's volleyball rolled past Morgan State in straight sets (25-12, 25-18, 25-16) on Friday evening at the RAC. With the win, the Patriots improve to 4-3 on the season.
The Patriots' offense was efficient, hitting .253 as a team compared to Morgan State's .055. Kiera Hamilton led the way with 13 kills, adding nine digs and two blocks for a team-high 15.5 points. Chelsea Colter and Haley Graetz were both highly efficient, combining for 11 kills on 17 swings. Nia Thompson chipped in six kills and 11 digs, while setter Camryn Weldon directed the attack with 15 assists.
Defensively, Autumn Martinez-Robinson anchored the back row with 10 digs, while Meredith Brown controlled the net with five blocks. Ava Cheney added three blocks to round out a balanced team effort.
The Green & Gold never trailed in the opening set and kept control throughout, tallying 11 service aces and six total blocks on the night.
