Nacho Diaz Barragan scored late in the second half, while graduate student goalkeeper
Jaume Salvado stopped a penalty kick in the second half in a 1-1 draw against Davidson in the Atlantic 10 opener on Friday night at George Mason Stadium.

Jordi Navio Sanchez sent a ball into the box, where Diaz Barragan scored into the left side of the net for the equalizer.
Davidson (2-2-1, 0-0-1 A-10) took the lead over George Mason (2-2-1, 0-0-1 A-10 ) early on the first half. Junior defender Ayman Maadir scored his second goal of the season off a throw in in the 13th minute from just outside the six-yard box to put the Wildcats in front, 1-0.
Salvado made four saves in the match, with three spectacular stops in the second half to deny the Wildcats their second goal.
In the 75th minute, the Patriots were called for a hand ball inside the penalty area and the Wildcats were awarded a penalty kick. Maadir stepped to the penalty mark and sent a low shot toward the right side of the net, where Salvado dove out to make the save to keep the Patriots within a goal. Earlier in the second half, Salvado made a diving save to his right to keep the Wildcats from increasing their lead.
