NORFOLK, Va. – The Virginia Sports Information Directors Association (VaSID) has announced its University Division Women's Basketball All-State Teams, including three George Mason Patriots: head coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis was named Coach of the Year, and Zahirah Walton and Kennedy Harris were named to the All-State Second Team.

Blair-Lewis led George Mason to a historic season in 2024-25, going 27-6 overall with a 14-4 record in conference play. The Patriots put on an unforgettable three-game run to win the program's first-ever Atlantic 10 Tournament championship, defeating Saint Joseph's 73-58 in the title game. Increasing the team's win total in every season of her tenure at George Mason thus far, Blair-Lewis was named one of five finalists for the Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year award for the second consecutive year. Blair-Lewis is the first George Mason women's basketball coach to win VaSID Coach of the Year.

Walton delivered a standout 2024-25 campaign, helping lead her team to the Atlantic 10 Championship while earning a trio of top conference honors: A-10 All-Conference First Team, All-Defensive Team, and A-10 Tournament Most Outstanding Player. Starting all 33 games, she averaged 14.8 points per game on 42.9% shooting, leading the team in scoring, free throws, and steals. Walton notched double-digit points in 24 contests, including eight 20-point performances, and scored a career-high 30 points at Saint Louis on January 29. Defensively, she ranked seventh in the A-10 in steals and tenth in blocks, with 17 games featuring multiple steals and seven with multiple blocks. She also led the conference in made free throws and climbed to 12th on the Patriots' all-time blocks list in just two seasons.

Harris made a major impact in her sophomore season, appearing in 27 games with 24 starts while averaging 13.9 points per game on 41.6% shooting. Despite missing time due to injury, she finished among the team's top three scorers, was named to the A-10 All-Conference Second Team, and was twice named A-10 Player of the Week. She also earned national recognition, being named in the NCAA Starting Five for the week of Dec. 2. Harris posted 19 double-digit scoring games, including six performances with 20 or more points. She scored a career-high 29 points against Davidson on Jan. 22 and drained six three-pointers against George Washington just days later—tied for the second-most in a single game across the A-10. She also poured in 26 points against then-No. 10 Maryland and finished the year 12th in the conference in three-point shooting percentage.
