FAIRFAX, Va. – Women's basketball head coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis has announced the addition of Matilde Motta to the 2025-26 incoming freshman class.
"We're pleased to welcome our latest edition, Matilde Motta to our women's basketball family. She's a dynamic freshman wing from Saronno, Italy who competes professionally for Costa Masnaga. Matilde's scoring ability, defensive instincts, and athleticism will be the perfect fit for our uptempo style of play. We are eager to get her on campus and continue to develop her throughout her career."
Motta is a 5'11" guard who most recently played in the Italian Series A2 League for Limonata Sport Costa Masnaga. She scored a career-high 22 points in 25 minutes of action vs. Benevento on March 15, 2025.
