Fairfax, Va.- George Mason leaves New Jersey with two losses against No.19 Princeton. The Patriots conference record falls to 4-4.
Princeton got off to a quick head start leading the Patriots 11-3. The Patriots were able to cut the lead and when the media timeout call hit, Princeton remained ahead 15-8. The Tiger's gears kept rolling and won the first set, 25-12 with a .545 hitting percentage.
Sebastian Sanchez and
Giomar Collazo were introduced for the second set. George Mason was ahead for the first few points up until the Tigers tied the game at 6-6. Princeton would take control for the rest of the set with a .276 hitting percentage and winning the set 19-25.
It was a closer battle in the third set but Princeton overcame the George Mason defense to secure an undefeated weekend.
