Crucial Conference Games for the Patriots vs #19 Princeton

Fairfax, Va.- The Patriots will have another crucial weekend with EIVA match ups against #19 Princeton. 
 
The EIVA battle for first place is wide open for most teams in the conference. Princeton are currently at the top with a conference record of 5-1 and are the only EIVA team to be ranked in the AVCA rankings. 
 
The Patriots are second in the standings with a conference record of 4-2 falling to Harvard and NJIT. 
 
The University of Charleston and Harvard are 5-3 with both teams building momentum to reach the top of the table. Penn State are 3-3 but should not be counted out just yet.
 
Princeton and George Mason have faced 39 times since 2005 creating a fierce rivalry. The Patriots are ahead in the head-to-head with 21 wins and 18 losses. The last game they played was a five-set thriller last season in Fairfax with George Mason making it out with a win. 
 
Alexander Lillie leads the conference with the best hitting percentage, .426. Right behind him is Princeton's ace, Nyherowo, with .347. Lillie is tied for the top in the conference in blocks per set with an average of 1.04 per set. He also leads the country with the most solo blocks, 31.
