Fairfax, Va.- George Mason commence their EIVA Tournament journey with a quarter finals match against the University of Charleston on April 23^rd at the Dillion Gymnasium hosted by Princeton. 
 
The Patriots concluded the regular season grasping the fourth seed after defeating the Eagles twice during the weekend. Liam French had an unforgettable weekend recording 33 kills on .529 hitting with two aces, an assist, seven digs, and five blocks, one solo. Liam's performance earned him the title of the EIVA Offensive Player of the Week.
 
The Patriots will be facing the University of Charleston for a second year straight in a post-season tournament. Both teams faced off last year in the semifinals with George Mason sweeping the Eagles with huge performances by Omar Hoyos and Jack Bolz. 
 
This year, the University of Charleston have the Freshman of the Year, Kai Cousins, an offensive powerhouse matching up with one of the best defensive players of the year, Alexander Lillie. 
 
The winner of the match will move on to the semifinals on April 24^th to face the host team, Princeton. Princeton defeated the Patriots twice this season at Dillon Gymnasium with a combined scoreline of 6-1.
