Fairfax, Va.- George Mason fall to Harvard and now have a conference record of 4-2.
The first set was a hard-fought battle between both teams to reach the 25
th point.
Robert Evangelista came back into action recording multiple kills. The service errors continue to be a problem for the Patriots but the game was tied at 25 a piece. With attack errors by the Patriots, Harvard took the first set 27-25.
The second set had the Patriots hitting .321 but the defensive performance that was on display last night was not shown today. The game was tied at 12-12 but Harvard would get a lead and did not let go of it to record a 2-0 lead over the Patriots.
Harvard's offense was in full display in the third set with the Crimson hitting .500 to secure a 25-17 victory.
By the numbers:
- Sophomore Robert Evangelista led the team in kills with 11 in two sets
- Senior setter Troy McDonald had the most aces (1), blocks (3), and assists (38)
- Sophomore outside hitter Jackson Herbert had the most digs with seven together with 10 kills
