Fairfax, Va.- George Mason records another win at the RAC after defeating Daemen University, 3-1. The Patriots now have 12 wins this season.
The wildcats came out with a lot of energy to surprise the Patriots in the first set. The momentum would continue for the first of the game but George Mason was able to contain the heat. George Mason took the first set at 25-22.
After an early 6-3 lead for Daemen, George Mason was able to pounce back and bring the score line into their favor. It was another close set but with a service error by the wildcats, George Mason took the second set 25-23.
Daemen were not leaving without winning a set and they succeeded in their third try. The game was back and forth with both teams fighting for the lead and the score remained tied at the 25
th point. Daemen were able to reach the 27
th point before the Patriots and took back one set.
The fourth set was another nail biter with both teams remaining close to each other by one point. It seemed as if the wildcats would take the fourth with a 23-22 lead, but the Patriots regained extra energy to close off the set. A
Liam French kill was the final point to secure another win.
