Fairfax, Va.- George Mason complete their weekend with a sweep against Merrimack.
For the first set, the Patriots had a .278 hitting percentage with an inspired offensive core. The first set was a hard-fought battle with both teams fighting until the end but the Patriots came out victorious with a 25-23 set win.
The second set was a full show of the attack with a .474 hitting and 12 kills recorded. Gio Collazo,
Alexander Lillie,
Robert Evangelista, and
Jackson Herbert were all sharing the kills with everyone contributing to the offensive power. The Patriots took the second set, 25-21.
George Mason completed the sweep with a win in the third set. Merrimack fought hard in the last set but a kill by
Robert Evangelista ended the play and gave the 11
th victory of the season to the Patriots.
