Hawa Komara's debut performance as a Patriot.
The contest began with George Mason establishing an early presence on the boards, securing 12 rebounds in the opening quarter. Despite shooting struggles, going 1-for-13 from the field, they capitalized on free throws, converting 11-of-14 attempts. The Patriots' defense forced turnovers, yet the Rams maintained offensive pressure, leading to a narrow 14-13 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
