FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's basketball team (10-1) hosts its penultimate non-conference game of the 2025-26 campaign Sunday when the Patriots welcome Loyola (Md.) (4-8) to EagleBank Arena.
Tip-off between the Patriots and Greyhounds is set for 2 p.m. Sunday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+, featuring commentary from Voice of the Patriots Bill Rohland and former George Mason women's basketball head coach Debbie Taneyhill. In addition,
Steve Kolbe will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with streaming coverage beginning at 1:45 p.m.
PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots began the season 9-0 for the first time in school history and are 10-1 for just the third time in program annals. GMU last won 12 non-conference games in 1983-84 and has not accomplished the feat in the program's CAA or A-10 eras.
• The Patriots are coming off a 73-61 triumph over former conference rival Old Dominion on Dec. 13 in Fairfax. GMU held a 29-15 edge in bench scoring for the game.

Riley Allenspach led the Patriots with a career-best 26 points (10-15 FG, 3-4 3pt) in 27 minutes. He set a remarkable new school record by scoring the Patriots' first 17 points of the game.

Jahari Long dished out a team-best four assists vs. the Monarchs. The point guard from Houston ranks ninth in the A-10 in assist/turnover ratio (1.73) and is 10th in assists per game (3.5).

Kory Mincy ranks third nationally in FT percentage (.976) and 18th in 3pt percentage (.484). He leads the A-10 in scoring (17.2 ppg) and is the only player in the country to average 17+ points while shooting better than 45 percent from 3pt and 95 percent from the free throw line.
• GMU leads the A-10 and ranks 11th nationally in 3pt percentage (.401). However, over the past two games, the Patriots are 11-of-35 (.314) from beyond the arc.
• The Green & Gold rank 12th nationally in FT rate (.490) and make 20.6 free throws/game (14th in the country). On the other end of the floor, the Patriots commit just 14.6 fouls per contest (19th-best nationally).
• George Mason is 5-0 when the team scores 80+ points this season and 21-0 when the team reaches the 80-point plateau under Coach Skinn.
• The Patriots will play a record 10 non-conference home games this season. George Mason is an impressive 40-5 (.889) at home under Skinn's leadership.
• The Patriots enter Sunday's game ranked 66th in the NET. GMU also is No. 69 in KenPom.

George Mason is 74-33 (.692) all time against programs currently representing the Patriot League. Mason's most common opponents are former CAA foes American (34-11) and Navy (17-9). In the most recent matchup with a Patriot League foe, the Green & Gold knocked off Loyola (Md.), 62-56, on Dec. 16, 2023.
HISTORY vs. LOYOLA (MD.)
The Patriots hold a 9-6 (.600) all-time record vs. Loyola (Md.). Sunday marks the 16th meeting between the two programs. This will be only the sixth matchup between the teams since 1982. Mason and Loyola played often in the mid-1970s when the two schools were part of the Mason-Dixon Conference (DII). Mason has won five out of the six meetings since the start of the 1980s. In the most recent matchup, the Patriots won 62-56 on Dec. 16, 2023, during Coach Skinn's first season.

Loyola (Md.) was picked sixth out of 10 teams in the 2025-26 Patriot League preseason poll. The Greyhounds are 4-8 to begin the campaign and own Div. I victories over Stonehill (74-63) and Coppin State (95-84). Loyola (Md.) ranks 348th nationally in defensive efficiency (1.184 points/possession). Preseason All-Patriot League pick Jacob Theodosiou leads the Greyhounds and ranks sixth in the Patriot League in scoring (15.3 ppg) while also ranking sixth in the league in assists (3.9 apg). Emmett Adair (12.7 ppg), Braeden Speed (11.9 ppg) and Jordan Stiemke (11.6 ppg, 40.6 3pt FG%) also average double figures for Loyola (Md.).
