Fairfax, Va. – Graduate student defender Zoë Vidaurre earns her second postseason award after the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2025 Division I Women's Soccer All-ECAC Teams and major awards Friday.
The ECAC is an 86-year-old intercollegiate athletics organization with roughly 200 member schools across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III. George Mason University is among seven Atlantic 10 Conference schools that are members of the ECAC.
Zoë Vidaurre was selected to the Division I All-ECAC Second Team, earning her first career ECAC honor. This achievement adds to a historic season for Vidaurre, who a month prior became the first Mason player since 2016 to receive any Atlantic 10 all-conference recognition. Her selection to the A-10 First Team was a milestone for Mason Women's Soccer, as she is only the second player in program history to earn First Team honors since the university joined the conference in 2013.
Vidaurre's accolades come after a standout fourth and final year for the Patriots. She led the Patriots with 14 points, recording team-highs in both goals (six) and assists (two). Having started all 18 matches for Mason this year, Vidaurre led all field players with 1,607 minutes played.
As co-captain, Vidaurre anchored a revitalized Mason defense. Her leadership and defensive presence were central to a dramatic improvement, with the Patriots conceding only 25 goals - down from 40 the previous year - and holding opponents to 225 shots compared to 352 in 2024.
With these honors, Vidaurre leaves an enduring mark on Mason Women's Soccer history.
