WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named George Mason women's basketball redshirt junior forward Zahirah Walton the conference's Player of the Week for her play during the week of November 24.

Walton averaged 24.3 ppg at a 52.1% shooting rate, 4.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.7 blocks. The redshirt junior started the week with an 11-point game vs. Rider before leaving for the Daytona Beach Classic.

At the tournament, she scored 42 points at a 65.2% clip, including 10-12 from the free throw line and just 2 three-pointers in a loss to Murray St. on Friday. Then on Saturday, she scored 20 vs. #13 Ole Miss, helping the Patriots to within 8 points in the fourth quarter before ultimately falling to the Rebels.

The Patriots are currently 5-4 and debuted in the NET rankings at #65.
