FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason junior midfielder
Javier Montava was selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team.
Montava, a Computational and Data Science major from Alcoy, Spain, earned the honor with 3.50 GPA. He started all 16 games and led the Patriots in minutes played (1422). Montava was one of three Patriots to start every match and finished the season with one goal and two assists for four points.
To be honored as a CSC Academic All-District® Team member, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale and compete in 90 percent of an institution's matches or start at least 66 percent of the contests.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, CAA Division III and NAIA.
