Patriots Take On New Hampshire Saturday in EBA

FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason (3-0) will suit up for its first Saturday contest of the season against America East foe New Hampshire (2-2).

Tip-off between the Patriots and Wildcats is set for 2 p.m. Saturday's game will be streamed nationally on ESPN+, featuring commentary from Voice of the Patriots Bill Rohland and former women's basketball student-athlete Jen Surlas. In addition, Steve Kolbe will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with streaming coverage beginning at 1:45 p.m.

PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots are 3-0 to begin the campaign after winning an 86-62 contest against Div. II stalwart Catawba on Tuesday night.

• Graduate guard Jahari Long led George Mason with a career-high 25 points in the win. He set a new EagleBank Arena facility record for free throws made (16) on just 17 attempts. It broke the previous mark of 15 set by Nate Langley and Curtis McCants.

• Long ranks 12th nationally in FT made (25) and is fifth in the A-10 in scoring (17.7 ppg) through three games.

• Junior Kory Mincy added 19 points (6-8 FG) and three assists on Tuesday. He leads the A-10 in scoring (22.5 ppg) and is 21st nationally in 3pt percentage (.625). He also is third in the A-10 in 3pt FG made/game (3.3).

• The Patriots have been without key contributors Brayden O'Connor (foot), Masai Troutman (ankle) and Fatt Hill (leg) over the past two contests. Hill has missed all three games.

• George Mason made an impressive 7-of-8 (.875) 3-pointers vs. Catawba and now ranks 12th nationally in 3pt FG percentage (.453) on the year.

• The Patriots also made 29-of-33 free throws vs. Catawba, pushing GMU to 18th nationally in FT made/game (24.0).

• Head coach Tony Skinn ('06), the 2025 A-10 Coach of the Year, sports an overall win percentage of .700 (49-21) and is at 66.7 percent (24-12) in A-10 games over his first three seasons. Tuesday's victory made Skinn the fastest coach in program history to reach 50 victories.


HISTORY vs. NEW HAMPSHIRE
Saturday's game marks the second all time meeting between George Mason and New Hampshire in men's basketball. In the only previous matchup, the Wildcats won a 99-78 contest in Fairfax during the Paul Westhead era on Dec. 30, 1994.

HISTORY vs. AMERICA EAST OPPONENTS
Saturday's game marks George Mason's 31st all-time contest against an America East foe. The bulk of those matchups have come against UMBC (13-8). In the most recent matchup with an America East opponent, the Patriots knocked off NJIT 86-68 om November 29, 2023 in Fairfax.

A LOOK AT THE WILDCATS (2-2, 0-0 America East; KenPom #358)
New Hampshire was picked to finish ninth in the 2025-26 America East preseason poll. The Wildcats are 2-2 to begin the season and coming off an 97-69 victory over Div. III Emmanuel on Wednesday in Durham. Junior KiJan Robinson leads UNH in scoring (13.7 ppg) and assists (4.7 apg), while junior Belal El Shakery adds 11.8 points/game and is second in the America East with 9.5 rebounds/contest.

UP NEXT
The Patriots wrap up their five game homestand to begin the season with a 7 p.m. contest vs. Jacksonville on Tuesday. It's a campus game that's part of the 2025 Sunshine Slam. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN+.
