WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has announce that freshman Nia Thompson has been named the Rookie of the Week for her performance the week of November 3. 

Thompson stepped up big time for the Patriots this weekend, averaging 3.67 kills, 3.56 digs, 5 aces, and 4.39 points in the Green & Gold's two wins this weekend. 

The San Diego, Calif. native notched two double-doubles this weekend: on Friday she tallied 20 kills and 15 digs, and on Saturday she swung for 13 kills and 17 digs. 

The Patriots beat the Fordham Rams twice this weekend, securing their spot in the A-10 Championship for the first time since 2018. The Championship will be held at VCU, November 21-23.
