WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Atlantic 10 has announced that redshirt junior
Zahirah Walton has been named co-Player of the Week for her performances during the week of November 3.
Zahirah Walton averaged 26.5 ppg on 45% shooting, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals across the Patriots first two games of the season. She shot a total of 13-14 from the free throw line over the two games and set new career-highs in points (31 vs. Temple) and made three-pointers (4 vs. JMU).
The Patriots started their season with an overtime loss to Temple, but bounced back with a win over JMU, snapping a 20-year winless streak to the Dukes.
Walton shares this weekly award with Richmond's Maggie Doogan.
