FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's basketball team hosts Catawba College for a Veteran's Day contest Tuesday night inside EagleBank Arena.

Tip-off between the Patriots and Indians is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday's game will be streamed nationally on ESPN+, featuring commentary from Voice of the Patriots Bill Rohland and former women's basketball head coach Debbie Taneyhill. In addition, Steve Kolbe will call the game on the GoMason Digital Network, with streaming coverage beginning at 6:45 p.m.

PATRIOT POINTS
• The Patriots are 2-0 to begin the campaign after winning a high-scoring, 96-90 affair over Winthrop Friday night. The Eagles hit 12 3-pointers to keep it close, but GMU held a commanding 50-31 rebounding edge and made 11 triples of their own to withstand the furious Eagles' pace.

• It marked the highest scoring output by the Patriots vs. a Div. I opponent since a 97-60 win over Longwood on Dec. 12, 2016.

• The Patriots were without key contributors Brayden O'Connor (foot), Masai Troutman (ankle) and Fatt Hill (leg) on Friday.

• In their absence, junior guard Kory Mincy exploded for a career-best 29 points (9-16 FG), marking the most points by a Patriot since Keyshawn Hall had 36 vs. Bridgewater on Dec. 19, 2023.

• Mincy ranks 23rd in the country with 4.0 3pt FG/game and is 26th in scoring (23.5 ppg) through two games.

• Graduate guard Jahari Long added career bests in points (22) and rebounds (8) while dishing out a team-best four assists.

• Mincy and Long are the first Patriots to combine for 51+ points in a game since Josh Oduro (32) and DeVon Cooper (22) had 54 vs. Saint Louis on February 2, 2022.

• The Patriots' transfer class ranks in the top-20 nationally amongst mid-majors (EvanMiya.com) and No. 1 in the Atlantic 10 (The Portal Report).

• Skinn, the 2025 A-10 Coach of the Year, sports an overall win percentage of .700 (49-21) and is at 66.7 percent (24-12) in A-10 games over his first three seasons. A win Tuesday would make Skinn the fastest coach in program history to reach 50 victories.

HISTORY vs. CATAWBA
Tuesday's game marks the second all time meeting between George Mason and Catawba in men's basketball. In the only previous, matchup, the Patriots defeated the Indians, 99-69, on Dec. 17, 2014 at the RAC on campus. Shevon Thompson led the Patriots with 29 points and 10 rebounds.

A LOOK AT THE INDIANS (0-0, 0-0 SAC)
Catawba was picked fifth out of 12 teams in the Div. II SAC Preseason Poll. The Indians are coming off an 18-win season (14-10 SAC) in which the program reached its third-consecutive NCAA Tournament. Nick Walker earned 2025-26 Preseason All-SAC accolades after shooting 61.8 percent from the floor last season (14th in NCAA Div. II) and averaging 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds/game. The high scoring Indians averaged 81.6 points/game last season and swarmed opponents with 10.5 steals/game on the defensive end of the floor.

UP NEXT
The Patriots host New Hampshire for a Saturday matinee. Tip-off between the Patriots and Wildcats is set for 2 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
