FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason senior Ella Semple has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

Semple earned the honor following her standout performance at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa., where she clocked a 6K time of 20:17.2 to finish 19th overall in the Women's College Gold division. Her time marks one of the top performances in the Atlantic 10 this season and helped lead the Patriots against a highly competitive national field.

A consistent leader for the Patriots, Semple continues to build on her impressive senior campaign as the Patriots gear up for the upcoming championship portion of the season.

The Patriots return to action on October 17 for the IC4A/ECAC Championships at Van Courtlandt Park in New York.
